Electrical insulation: Selected where dielectric isolation is part of the requirement. The applicable grade data is confirmed per specification. Glass-reinforced polyester system: A polyester resin system with glass reinforcement. Behaviour depends on the commercial grade and the operating conditions. Mechanical support: Used where an insulating part also has to carry or position components in an assembly. Machining: Cut and machined with methods suited to glass-reinforced laminate. Environment: Suitability for a given environment is confirmed against the manufacturer's data for the specified grade.
Electrical insulation components: Insulating plates, barriers and mounting parts in electrical assemblies. Support and insulation parts: Parts that position conductors or components while isolating them. Spacers and machined parts: Machined from sheet to drawing or existing part. Control and distribution equipment: Insulation and support parts inside electrical equipment. Typical applications for the material.
